My product froze in transit! What should I do?
With cold temperatures, our natural products are prone to solidify. We reccomend leaving products out at room temperature until they reach their intended state and to not artificially heat them.
How does the teething roller help soothe my baby’s teething pain?
Our teething roller is crafted with a blend of essential oils known for their natural pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. The key ingredients work in synergy to calm nerve sensitivity, reduce gum inflammation, and promote relaxation:
Copaiba oleoresin is rich in beta-caryophyllene, a compound that interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system to soothe pain and inflammation naturally.
Chamomile essential oil has anti-inflammatory and mild sedative properties, helping to ease gum swelling and promote a sense of calm.
Lavender essential oil provides gentle relaxation by helping to soothe fussiness and discomfort, making it easier for your little one to settle.
Frankincense essential oil has boswellic acids that provide anti-inflammatory benefits, making it great for soothing swollen gums.
By applying the roller along the jawline (not directly on the gums), the skin absorbs the oils, delivering relief to the underlying nerves and tissues. Plus, the calming aroma helps relax your baby, making teething just a little bit easier for both of you.
How is topical magnesium absorbed into the body compared to oral supplements?
Topical magnesium is absorbed through the skin, a process known as transdermal absorption. Magnesium ions penetrate the skin's outer layer (epidermis) and are transported through the dermis into the bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream, magnesium can be distributed throughout the body, including to muscles, nerves, and organs.
- Speed of Absorption: Transdermal absorption can provide relatively rapid uptake of magnesium compared to oral supplements, bypassing the digestive system. This may be advantageous for individuals with digestive issues or those seeking quicker effects.
- Local Effects: In addition to systemic absorption, topical magnesium may exert local effects on the skin and underlying tissues. Some users report benefits such as reduced muscle tension or improved skin health directly at the application site.
Oral magnesium supplements are ingested and pass through the gastrointestinal tract before absorption. Various factors influence the absorption rate and efficacy of oral magnesium supplementation
- Digestive Processes: Oral magnesium must survive stomach acid and digestive enzymes before reaching the intestines, where absorption primarily occurs. Factors such as stomach acidity, digestive health, and the presence of food can affect magnesium absorption.
- Bioavailability: The bioavailability of oral magnesium supplements can vary depending on the magnesium compound used (e.g., magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide) and other factors. Some forms, like magnesium citrate, are generally better absorbed than others.
- Gastrointestinal Effects: Oral magnesium supplements can sometimes cause gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea or stomach discomfort, particularly at higher doses. This can limit the amount of magnesium absorbed and tolerated by the body.
